About Me

My name is Elizabeth Robinson. I am 20 years old and a junior at The University of Texas at Austin. I am taking an English class about the "United States New Generation." For the class, we are learning to create our own web sites on a topic relevent to the new generation. The topic I have chosen, the effects of fraternity and sorority rushing,is one that I feel can be very controversial. As you may have guessed I am a member of a Greek organization. My sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, is one of 14 on campus. I am a firm believer that there are numerous benefits to being a part of a Greek organization, though I realize these are often overlooked. In fact, I feel a great deal of anti-Greek sentiment here on campus everyday, whether it be from professors or other students. But I do realize that the system has many flaws. Hopefully, I will be able to shed some light on both sides of the story.
